I felt like saying that because I just found the perfect wedding song!!!!! Always Forever by Phil Wickam!!! Just a little joy I’d thought I’d share with you. In fact these are some songs I have been thinking of for the ceremony and reception:

Beach house vs. Hotel

Hey Ladies,

I want to make this trip as enjoyable but also make it the least costly as possible! I was thinking about possibly renting a beach house out in Kailua. The beaches are beautiful and its a change of pace and scenery from Waikiki. It might also be cheaper as well since some houses can sleep 8-10 and are only 500 for a week! I posted a link for you to check it.

This is the wonderful sales rep from Jcrew, Esther who just sold us our dresses! So far I have two 2s, a 4 and a 14. Waiting to see if I should order a 0 or a 2 for our last dress and then we are set! Whoohoo! If you have any suggestions for accessories, shoes etc. just let me know!! JR and I are going to see another venue location, the Outrigger Canoe Club tomorrow. Wish us luck!

This video of our engagement was filmed and made by the talented Cifton Yasutomi!

The story:

So JR asked me a week before the day if I would take pictures of him while he surfed so that he could post pictures on his website (thewalkwith.com). Of course I said yes. That day came and after church we went down to his favorite surf spot. I suspected nothing! We parked and ended up walking for while. I was getting a little irritated because he could have parked closer to the spot and I was wondering why he hadn’t! Finally we stopped and I started setting up. He stopped me and told me that he actually had not brought me out here for the purpose of taking pictures. I was livid. My first thought was that he tricked me into excercising and I was a little offended.

I started to tie my hair and he proceded to tell me that he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. JR is super romantic so I thought nothing of it and “thanked him” and told him “me to”. He then said he didn’t think I understood and got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. My heart stopped. Everything stopped. I was still tying my hair up when he said, “Genevieve Tabios, I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” I started crying. JR said I looked like I was sucking on a li hing mui seed. :) I nodded my head and he hugged me and asked if that was a “yes”. I said ” yes, of course”. Then there was a loud cheer, though I don’t remember it, and our families and friends came out from behind the bushes. Ironically we had stopped at Ewa Beach park, the same place I had been baptized 11 years ago.

I wish you ladies could have been there. But this is the next best thing. Enjoy!

Hi girls,

I don’t think I ever mentioned this to any one of you but I will be paying for your dresses and accessories. I hope none of you went out and bought anything. Please let me know and I will reimburse you! In Seattle I got my H&M fix and also found your pink belts there! Yay! I am also trying to make the necklaces, will see how that goes. Val I wish I had your talent with jewelry. :P I will post pictures soon of “my vision”.

I do however would like you to pick your own shoes, it can be anything really! JRs guys are all wearing the same leather slippers but since we ladies might be more particular choose anything you like!

Hi girls!

Exciting news! I think I may have found my venue!!!! I went to the Outrigger Reef hotel in Waikiki and they had everything I was looking for! Things are already settling into place. One thing I  do need from you ladies are your dress sizes. Please let me know so that as I start looking for dresses I will be able to order them in your size. Yay!
